Kelsey Johnson represents clients in a variety of litigation matters, including commercial litigation and all types of intellectual property litigation. Kelsey’s practice particularly focuses on copyright and trademark enforcement and litigation and patent litigation in the Eastern District of Texas.  She has extensive experience in both federal and state court, and actively manages all aspects of her cases from discovery to trial.  Kelsey previously practiced at large international law firms, but now represents both small- and large-sized clients to address the challenges and special considerations of each.  

Early in her career, Kelsey was second chair on a trial team that obtained a complete defense victory in a federal trial where the plaintiff sought in excess of $40 million in damages related to a medical device. In addition, she also was part of a team that obtained a successful pre-trial settlement in a patent-related fraud action, which was listed as one of the top 10 intellectual property settlements of 2009.

Kelsey earned a J.D., cum laude, from Duke University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University
